For the past 2 months I have been the intern at Love Guatemala and I have leaned SOO MUCH from my time there. However, this time has come to an end. These past few months I have leaned so much, made new connections, relationships, friendships, and most importantly I have grown closer to our Savior. The leaders of Love Guatemala have shown so much wisdom and knowledge to me and I have leaned a lot from them. I am so thankful for each of them.
Over my time there I have served in so many ways and I have loved it!
One of my favorite ways of serving there was helping out with the feeding center kids. I loved to see how free they were and how much fun they were having. Some of those kids have gone through a lot at such a young age and sometimes the meals they get at the feeding center are the only meal they get for the entire day and when they are with us they can be free and enjoy being a kid.
Another thing I loved about being there was leaning from the medical clinic. Lesbia, the nurse, taught me so much in such a short amount of time. I was able to do things a regular RN wouldn’t be allowed to do. It was such an amazing experience and I loved it.

God set this up perfectly, as always, for me specifically because I was also able to help and learn from the art class and because I am an artist, it was so much fun and this way I got to know some of the students!
One of the other things the interns do at Love Guatemala is help out with the social media and promotion of the ministry, one of those ways being through photos, so I had the opportunity to take photos for the ministry and mess around with their fancy camera:)
God knows exactly who I am and he led me to Love Guatemala because he knew it would fit me perfectly and that is so cool. Even tho I may doubt myself and even him sometimes I know that he never does and that gives me comfort. I know that wherever I am or in whatever room I’m in he is standing right next to me ready to catch me when I fall.

The last weeks I was there we had our Vacation Schools and I helped Lesbia with the kids in the medical program.

We had a presentation on the last day for the kids to show their parents what they worked on and learned and Lesbia and I said a few words
Another cool thing was that I got to hang out, serve, and help with the teams that came while I was here.
Here we were painting a mural for their church. I loved that because each team that visits Love Guatemala paints a mural and it’s pretty cool because right when you come in you can see all the murals and it just explains a little of the beauty of this ministry and I loved being a part in that.
This is patty, one of the art teachers, she is amazing and I’ve grown so close to her. Patty is pregnant and due this month! Everyday I saw her we gave each other a big hug and it warmed my day up. Love her<3

Love Guatemala is always looking for new people to come and help serve so if you feel led we would love a new intern who is willing to serve and love our students and ministry.
