2017 Graduation

The 2017 Graduation of Love Guatemala is coming up on October 19th and we are so thankful and excited for everyone who has helped these kids to be able to graduate and follow their dreams. There are 30 students graduating from Love Guatemala this year and we are beyond thankful to everyone of you that has helped!

These past few years with these students have been an amazing opportunity for all who were involved. We have all grown spiritually and are amazed by the work God has done here. There are 6 students graduating from the art school, 7  from the cooking school, 3 from the carpentry school, 11 from the literacy program, and 3 from the English school.

Bilfred Obed Garcia Bautista is one of our graduating students he  is graduating from the art school.

Before Bilfred came to the art school he had a hard heart, was easily angered, and wasn’t working diligently. But after a few weeks in morning devotional and being around so many God loving people his heart started to soften and he started working on his school with more diligence and enthusiasm because he was starting to see Gods plan for his life. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Not only did Bilfred learn more about God but he has also become an experienced and talented artist. He always gives it his all and challenges himself with hard work to test his limits and explore new techniques.

Bilfred has had many good times here over the past 3 years but his favorites are when he was in class learning from his teachers and joking around and having fun with his classmates. The friendships he has made here will last a lifetime.

Over the time he has been here he has transformed into a talented artist and God’s love shows brightly through him.

Bilfred mainly known as Obed is just one of thirty students graduating from our vocational schools.  Thanks to each of you who pray and support our students, staff and ministry here.  We are truly seeing God give hope through the gospel and through vocational training.
