Recently, the third year Básicos students did their community service project. For their project they decided to volunteer at a ministry that specifically takes care of children with HIV and AIDS.
The ministry is about 45 minutes from Love Guatemala. All of the children live there. Some of them have been abandoned by their parents. It was a heavy experience to see children who are chronically and terminally ill. But it was also beautiful because the children were so joyful and they were happy to have visitors to play with.
The students felt blessed to have been able to serve the ministry, but more so, they felt blessed and honored to have the opportunity to spend time with such amazing kids.
