Last night we celebrated Independence Day. Each year we celebrate Guatemalan independence day here at Love Guatemala by choosing a new queen. This is a picture of last years queen and the new queen of Love Guatemala

Another One of the many traditions here for Independence Day is the torch run. We have many traditions leading up to and on independence day on September 15th.
Today we lit the torch along with the children at a nearby school called Cein Pain
Here we’re singing the national anthem of Guatemala, which is about five minutes.
