On Sunday, Love Guatemala was able to be a part of a very special event. We hosted a free painting class taught by artist Kim Page. Kim has been visiting and supporting Love Guatemala in so many ways for a long time. Coming here touched her heart and she felt God calling her back again and again.
One of the things she often does while on trips here is teach art classes. She wanted to use those gifts of art and teaching even more by offering to teach the live class and give time to talk about Love Guatemala.
The viewers of the class were taught to paint a beautiful black and white painting of a flower. It was the perfect class for beginners, advanced, or anyone in between.
In addition to learning to paint, everyone got the opportunity to learn more about Love Guatemala. Katy, Ben and Carlos joined the class to share about everything happening in Guatemala. They had the chance to share about everything from how Love Guatemala started to the new projects we have happening now. The event helped raise over $2,000 for the expansion project!
It was such a blessing to learn and share together. We are grateful for Kim for teaching and that we had so many that participated!
