This summer is the summer of hope. It is an opportunity for you to partner with us in giving hope through the gospel and vocational training. Our goal is to find 25 new hope partners. Our sponsorship program started about four years ago, and thankfully it has grown to provide a good portion of the financial needs of our school. The monthly amount that comes in from sponsorship is roughly $5,000. Thankfully, our school is also growing and changing. We are now certified through the Ministry of Education, and our student enrollment has continued to increase. With our new certification comes a salary table set by the government of Guatemala. We are excited to compensate our teachers a living wage that is in line with the work they are doing for our school, but this “growing up” process for Love Guatemala means that our costs are higher now than they used to be.
Our monthly budget for 2017 is just under $11,000. After our sponsorships, we are facing a gap of $6,000 per month this year. For this reason, we have decided to start the Hope Partner Program.
Hope Partners is for those who would like to play an essential role in helping us bridge this gap we have by giving $50 a month. These funds will go directly to help bridge the monthly funding gap we have and help us continue to give hope to many.
