Give Hope

Carpentry School

In 2012, the carpentry school was started with help from a missionary, Carl Bunso, as the first teacher. In the beginning, the school only had 5 students and took place in a small room with not very many tools. Then, Mosaic Church in Indianapolis gave a donation so that the school could buy the proper tools that they needed! When Carl had to go to the states, a local carpenter was hired as the teacher. Now the class is held in Love Guatemala. The students learn over the two year program all different techniques to make furniture so when they graduate, they are ready to work as carpenters!
